Hey there, I’m Emma, founder of Perfect Proposals.

I’ve been immersed in the world of events, weddings and romance for more than a decade, starting in the wedding industry on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. Somewhere along the way, I became completely obsessed with proposals — the stories behind them, the planning that goes into them and that incredible moment when someone says YES.

Perfect Proposals started from a simple thought: planning an unforgettable proposal shouldn’t have to feel overwhelming.

Not everyone has the time, resources or creative eye to pull together the proposal they have pictured in their head — especially when they’re trying to keep the whole thing a secret! So I created Perfect Proposals to take care of it all.

Today, we plan and style proposals across Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns, from intimate beach moments to elaborate, completely custom experiences. We can also organise your proposal photographer, videographer and content creator, so you don’t have to spend hours searching for the right people or coordinating everyone yourself. And if you don’t need a full set-up, you can book one of our trusted proposal photographers on their own too.

While the business has grown, it’s still very much a family affair.

My sister Molly works alongside me at Perfect Proposals, while my sister Carly runs our Cairns proposals. My husband Peter is always there when something needs building, fixing, transporting or figuring out, and even Mum, Dad and my brother regularly get roped into the behind-the-scenes madness.

And then there are my two little ones who have grown up with Perfect Proposals as part of everyday life. They’ve watched Mum pack flowers, load vans, answer enquiries and head off to create some pretty special moments. Becoming a mum has made the meaning behind what we do feel even more special — because these proposals are the beginning of new families or new chapters too.

Perfect Proposals might have started as my little idea, but it has grown into something our whole family is incredibly involved in — and I think that’s a big part of what makes it so special.
